    MyGica ATV582 Upgrade Firmware from Android 4.4 to Android 5.1 Lollipop

    MyGica ATV582 Upgrade Firmware from Android 4.4 to Android 5.1 Lollipop.
    [This update uses the MyGica ATV1900AC Android 5.1 firmware but it will also work on the ATV582]

    Things you need before updating.
    1. 32GB Micro SD Card.
    Format the Micro SD card to FAT32.
    Download the update_MYGICA_S812_S802_Device_5.1_20170612.img file.
    Download link below

    Copy the "update_MYGICA_S812_S802_Device_5.1_20170612.i mg" file to the Micro SD card.
    Insert the Micro SD card into the MyGica ATV582.

    2. Power on MyGica ATV582
    3. Select Application Menu press OK
    4. Select Quickboot press OK
    5. Select Recovery press OK [Wait for box to reboot]
    6. Select wipe data/factory reset press OK
    7. Select Yes -- delete all user data [Wait for data wipe complete message, can take a few minutes]
    8. Select apply update from EXT press OK
    8. Select update from sdcard press OK
    9. Select the "update_Mygica_ATV1900AC_5.1_NoNetflixHD_20161121. i mg" file press OK
    You will see the following as it progresses through the update.
    Finding update package...
    Opening update package...
    Verifying update package...
    Installing update...
    Install from sdcard complete.
    10. Select Reboot system now press OK

    The box will now re-boot and you'll see the MyGica, Seeing is Believing screen.
    This screen will stay on for a few minutes whilst it's finishing the installation so be patient.
    You will then see the screen change to black and a popup box showing installing applications 1/10
    Once this has finished the new set-up menu will appear.

    11. Welcome message appears, select Next press OK
    12. Language, change English (Australia) to English (United States) by selecting English English (Australia) and press OK then
    Select English and press OK.
    13. Select next press OK
    14. Select TV zoom to change your screen positioning if needed. press OK
    15. Select zoom in or zoom out for optimum screen size.
    16. Press back button
    17. Select Next press OK
    18. Select Network Configuration to configure your Network.
    Select Wifi or Ethernet depending on your set-up. When you want to get back to the menu press the back button.
    19. Select Next press OK
    Set-up Complete.
    20. Select Next press OK
    You'll now see the Speak Now config [This is a feature only available on the ATV1900AC so just ignore and click Next, press OK click Next again, press OK]
    21. Select Finish press OK.

    You'll now see the new MyGica Home Screen Menu.

    To upgrade Kodi 16.1 to the latest version login to Google Play Store.

    22. Click on the three lines next to where it says Google play.
    23. Select My apps
    24. Select ALL
    25. Scroll down to Kodi and press OK
    26. Select UPDATE

    Congratulations you've done it!

    Check out this Youtube guide for extra help if needed. The Youtube video shows an installtion of an older img file so don't use that file use the link in this thread.

    Fiollowed this guide but controlling kodi 17.3 krypton was impossible to do with the remote supplied with my box kept having to reboot and start again, now canot get rid of lollipop a factory reset wont do this just keeps booting back to lollipop every time.

    I did this upgrade which works great but now the return key on my Kr60 remote that came with my Mygica 582 has stopped working. Does anybody know how to reset the remote to the box?
